In celebration of Official Languages Day, let's explore the key aspects of official languages in the public service. This presentation introduces the Official Languages Act (OLA) and explains how it applies to our work at AAFC. Participants will learn about their rights and responsibilities related to official languages, including communications with and services to the public, language of work, and the advancement of equality of status and use of English and French.

To meet the requirements of the Official Languages Act when handling grants and contributions, Programs Branch has produced an official languages assessment tool and guide to be included as part of all project assessments. This course is delivered in partnership with the Official Languages team from the Corporate Management Branch.
