Description

Learn about the world of grants and contributions! The work of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) employees involved in program delivery and support can vary. Some are involved in the development of funding programs; others work at assessing, recommending projects and negotiating funding agreements and work directly with agreement recipients to follow progress, process claims, track reports and follow up on audit findings.

After participating in this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain the management and administration of grants and contributions (referred to as Gs & Cs) at AAFC
  • Identify key differences between a grant and a contribution
  • List the ‘8-A’s of a project lifecycle
  • Explain how your work feeds into the overall objectives of program delivery
  • Understand importance of documents and exercises like the program Terms and Conditions, and the Recipient Risk Management Framework (RRMF)

This course is the first in AAFC's Grants and Contributions Training series, which includes an overview of program delivery at AAFC, from program design to project closure and audit.

If there are no offerings available, or to request training in French, please fill out the Waitlist for Grants and Contributions Training form.
