Description

The Management and Leadership Development Program (MLDP) is an internal program created and delivered by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). It is designed to support the development of AAFC managers at the Executive (EX) equivalent, EX minus 1 and EX minus 2 levels.

The program strengthens leadership skills through hands-on learning, collaboration with peers, and meaningful feedback. It emphasizes applying leadership competencies in real work situations and effectively managing people and resources. By connecting with colleagues across branches and AAFC subject matter experts, participants develop both the skills and the supportive network they need to succeed in their management roles.

Eligibility and registration

Participation in this virtual program is limited. Approximately 70 spaces are open per year, which are allocated on an annual basis to each branch according to the proportion of employees.

Please speak with your manager if you are interested. You must be nominated in order to participate in the program. Branch planners will be asked to provide a list of nominations in May. For more details about the program, visit the MLDP AgriSource page.
