This session will focus on the history of the Indian Residential School System in Canada and the long-lasting effects on the survivors and communities. Please note that the material in this course may be troubling for some people. We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions. The course is offered by the Indigenous Support and Awareness Office (ISAO).

- Realities of Indian Residential Schools
- Lasting impacts of the Residential School system in Canada
This course will also have a list of recommended readings and links provided to you in the resources section. There will also be a historical timeline for you to review at your own pace.
Session runs approximately 2 hours but may run over for further discussion on topics.
